My eye has been in awe of the amazing combinations of sea foam greens/blues and mustards/golds I've witnessed in nature recently. It's likely Fall & my love of the ocean that I have to thank for this pair that you would never expect occur naturally. I took this photo and realized it's colour combo is exactly what I've been looking for in our home. Earthy, dreamy with a punch of the unexpected (pastel pink).
I'm pondering translating this into home decor. I'm into Swedish and modern decor with a touch of vintage charm. The high ceilings, straight lines and huge windows make our place extremely geometric and it lends itself well to open white spaces with pops of colour. I love that with white walls you're never committed to one thing. I'm a decor chameleon and I need a space where things can change as easily as my mind does. I've always loved golds and mustard for the vintage feel they bring to a space, and I already have vintage sea foam hanging lights. Pink in all honesty has always scared me. But, I think toning it down and keeping it minimal could make me love it.
Here's some of my inspiration on pinterest lately. (Click on the pins to go to the original pinterest source)
I'd be more likely to go a little more modern, white and basic/grounded route than a few of the pastel options below. But I always think dream big and see what happens.
