Balmy nights at the beach.

Summer has arrived!

I was knocking on wood with my fingers crossed while I typed that by the way - talk about multitasking with the hands.

I came home from tour (a heat wave in California and the Arizona desert) to a beautiful, balmy, sunshine-filled Vancouver. (I also came home to the worst flu of my life-but let's glaze over that part, shall we?). The trees are crowding one another with their outstretched limbs, fighting to soak up all that Vitamin D with their fresh, leafy greens. I'm a sucker for good-old olfactory cues like warm earth and budding blossoms that signal that Summer is pretty much upon us. I'd also like you to know that I have read the weather report and know this bliss is short-lived....

So let's grab our layers, a warm beverage, maybe a baguette/cheese and a blanket and head to the beach post-work to get all that warmth we can watching the sun slip behind the mountains and below the sea. No need for fancy here. Classic comfort is the key. And layers for when the dewy night creeps in. Meet you at the beach!

Beach night

This perfume might be my new favourite by the way - I usually stick to the classic stand-by, but this one could make me cheat. Smells like sunscreen and summer sweets after a day at the beach. - Sephora Also - these are dreamy, over-the-top versions of my favourite things. I dream big and then work hard to find options in my budget to match :)
